There are so many hentai and manga sites on the net and each one is so loaded with content that it sometimes seems impossible to figure out which site offers the best, most diverse and original content that will be the right fit for individual fans. The good thing about Hentai Key is that it seems like it might be the right fit for almost anyone. This is a massive site and while there is some non-exclusive stuff here, there is also a good amount of licensed and original content.
I think that one of the problems with a site so huge is navigation and the interface probably isn't the best on HentaiKey. While search features could stand some expansion, it's not like you don't have decent options. On the members' page you'll find news and this guides you to the more recent additions. There are lists of updates, top-rated sites, DVDs, top-rated images and movies. At the top of the page is a content menu and various links steer members to 10 hentai, 7 anime, 14 DVD, 6 game, 10 manga/doujin, 1 toon, 4 artist and 1 3D site. That's a total of 42 sites for the price of one and this ain't bad at all! You can search images and comics by selecting between original and licensed content on the homepage and there are two bonus sites plus 10 reality hardcore video feeds.
With so many individual sites, it's really hard to say just how many videos or how many comics or images you'll find, but I guarantee that it will keep you going for quite a while because the site updates frequently. Over the past month there have been daily updates and sometimes multiple daily updates of original content. The list didn't indicate videos, as far as I could tell, and individual sites didn't offer content specific dates, so figuring out the pace of the overall video updates is a little tricky. With this being said, the most popular site in the network, Hentai Movie Planet, had multiple video updates on December 16, 2010, which at the time of this review is 15 days ago. Another site, HentaiPanic offered an update on the day of my visit.
If you can think of a wild fantasy then it's likely you'll find it on Hentai Key. Unlike live-actor porn, toons have the ability to transcend conventional boundaries and boy do they! However, you may have to download some extra tools to watch movies from some of the sites. Hentai Movie Planet, for example, requires you to download a tools pack that enables codecs and subtitles. You should keep in mind that some of the content on some sites is censored, although most scene descriptions will let you know whether a video is or not it, and also whether or not it comes with English subtitles. There are downloads, but often with DRM attached. Also, DVDs, or at least the half dozen I checked, can only be streamed, even though there is a download link for each title. The DVDs are divided into 30 minute parts and typically have a full length of 90 minutes, while the videos on individual sites average around 20 minutes.
The length of any movie depends on the site, though and the formats also vary. Some sites offer Windows Media Videos, the site Hentai Panic offered MKV formats and Hentai Paradize V2 compresses their videos in RAR files. Some of the other favourite sites, as voted by users, include Doujin Daily, Nekkos Village, Hentai Manga Collection, Saishuu and FreshJav, which is actually a series of live action porn clips. Picture galleries and comics vary widely in size and amount of images or panels, but the pictures I viewed were sharp, even if not huge.
Final Verdict
Hentai Key is probably the largest collection of hentai, doujin, manga, japanime, comics and original artwork that I have come across. You will find thousands of images and movies, and you'll never once worry about running out, that's for sure. However, keep in mind that the site is difficult to navigate and during my visit I kept getting logged out and kept having to log back in. However, if you can get over these issues I don't think you'll have any problems falling in love with over-the-top cumshots, huge tits, big cocks, wild fantasies or the large archive of original and exclusive licence content. This is definitely a site for those of you who want more for less.
